Julie Hrnčířová is a Czech artist currently living in Oslo. She holds a degree from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie in Arles, France. Hrnčířová has showcased her work at various venues, including the Les Rencontres de la Photographie festival in Arles, the “Spring Exhibition” at Fotogalleriet in Oslo, group exhibitions at KÖSK gallery and Fotografihuset. In 2022, she held a solo exhibition titled "Urban Poetism" at Fotografiens Hus in Oslo and also participated in the Nordic Light Festival in Kristiansund.
In 2023, she had a solo show titled "This Might Be Useful One Day" at the gallery “Atelier Josefa Sudka” in Prague. In November 2023, she exhibited her series “Everyday Sculptures” at PhotoSaint Germain in Paris, curated by Raphaëlle Stopin, Director of the Rouen Normandy Photographic Center. In 2024, Hrnčířová held a solo exhibition at the Moody Moon Noize festival in Chomutov and participated in a group show at Page 5 Gallery in Prague.
Her artistic practice centres on public spaces, urban environments, chance encounters, still lifes, and discarded objects, as well as social photo-documentaries. She often creates installations and sculptures using materials like wood, metal, fabrics, and ceramics, exploring the interplay between various media.

Hrnčířová is part of 'Futures Photography,' a European platform that connects emerging photographers from around the world. She is also affiliated with 'Forbundet Frie Fotografer,' Norway’s national organization supporting photographic art. She was twice nominated for the Czech Grand Design Award in the 'Photography' category and she won the award for the best photographer under 30 from the Association of Professional Photographers (Czechia) in 2022. Her interviews have appeared in publications like FishEye, Fotograf Magazine (CZ), Fullmoon Magazine (CZ), and Fotografi Magasinet (NO). Hrnčířová also works as a photo reporter, capturing portraits of architects, designers, musicians, and other artists in Norway and the Czech Republic for various magazines and newspapers.
